Countdown Begins: LEAD3R’s Healthy Team Summit Under a Month Out
BOSTON, Sept. 17, 2025 — In just over a month, Boston will host a groundbreaking gathering designed to redefine how we work together: LEAD3R‘s Healthy Team Summit, sponsored by The Future of Teamwork podcast, happening October 21, 2025. Seats are limited for this one-day, hands-on summit that is more than an event — it’s a movement.

Healthy teams aren’t a “nice-to-have.” They are a business imperative. Research shows that unhealthy teams cost companies through burnout, lost productivity, disengagement, and turnover. By contrast, healthy teams deliver measurable returns: higher trust, faster innovation, stronger retention, and better business outcomes.
“Performance doesn’t start with hustle,” said Dane Groeneveld, CEO of LEAD3R and host of The Future of Teamwork podcast. “It starts with health. When your teams are healthy, your business is healthy.”
Why This Matters Now
The workplace has fundamentally changed. Leaders aren’t just managing one intact team — they’re navigating many at once: project teams, task forces, cross-functional squads, and virtual teams that form and reform constantly. Traditional models like “forming–storming–norming” no longer apply.
The Healthy Team Summit equips leaders and teams with real-world practices to succeed in this environment, transforming teaming from a reactive process into a strategic advantage.
A Movement Born from The Future of Teamwork
The Summit is powered by insights from The Future of Teamwork podcast, which has hosted 150+ conversations with executives, entrepreneurs, and change-makers. Their stories revealed the themes that define Healthy Teams: trust over hierarchy, connection over control, energy over efficiency. Now, those lessons come alive on stage and in small-group learning.
Foundational members shaping the Summit include Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Teva Pharmaceuticals, BlueRock Therapeutics, Deciphera Therapeutics, and Terray Therapeutics.
Immersive Learning at the Teams Playground
At the Healthy Team Summit, participants won’t just sit and listen — they’ll actively engage. The Teams Playground is designed as a living lab where learning happens through doing, not just hearing.
Attendees will experience Arist‘s rapid-fire microlearning, delivered via text in five-minute bursts, and explore Aktivo Labs’ data-driven wellbeing tools that reveal real-time insights into physical and mental energy. They’ll step into the unexpected with Mystery Trip‘s surprise team-building challenges, which spark creativity, break barriers, and show that play can be a powerful driver of collaboration. In the LEAD3R Lounge, conversations go deeper, fueled by science-backed prompts that build trust and uncover the values and quirks that shape real team connection.
The Playground includes a Human Library where thought leaders become “human books” available for intimate, 10-minute conversations. Instead of observing from afar, participants can “check out” an admiral, author, entrepreneur, or culture coach for candid dialogue.
“The Human Library makes a big event feel small,” said Summit facilitator Dr. André Martin. “It’s about real human connection — curiosity, empathy, and learning in its purest form.”
Visionary Speakers
The Summit is anchored by an extraordinary lineup of voices shaping the future of teamwork, including:
- Admiral John Richardson (Ret.) — former Chief of Naval Operations, sharing lessons on resilience and collective leadership.
- Maggie Jackson — award-winning author of Uncertain and Distracted, on attention and leadership in flux.
- Paul Troiano — artist and entrepreneur blending creativity and business.
- Michael Ioffe — co-founder and CEO of Arist, redefining learning with AI-powered microlearning.
- Garry Ridge — former CEO of WD-40, on servant leadership and culture.
- Maria Scarangella — executive coach and founder of Marstella.
- David Bergeron — COO of EverybodyFights, expert in building high-performing teams.
Guiding participants throughout the day will be Dr. André Martin, Dane Groeneveld (CEO of LEAD3R), and Kurt Landon (Chief Talent Officer at LEAD3R), alongside other seasoned facilitators.
An Investment in People and Performance
For leaders and organizations, the Summit is more than professional development. It’s an investment in your business to:
- Reduce friction and reclaim lost time
- Boost engagement and retention
- Unlock creativity and innovation
- Strengthen culture and collaboration across all types of teams
“Healthy teams are the real competitive edge. A Healthy Team does better work, together. Summit participants will walk away with discrete tools and practices that can be deployed for instant impact and incremental improvements,” added Groeneveld.
With just weeks left, urgency is high. Seats are limited, and the business case is undeniable. Attendees will not only invest in their own team health but also contribute to the future of work: 10% of all revenue supports the TeamUP Foundation, expanding access to inclusive team development.
As part of this commitment, LEAD3R has launched Step-tober Fest – The Healthy Team Challenge. Throughout October, teams will log their steps, with the winning team directing a TeamUP Foundation donation to the health-related charity of their choice. Step-tober Fest is more than a fitness initiative — it’s a reminder that physical health is one component of a Healthy Team. Healthy teams also require psychological safety, resilience, and connection — all themes explored at the Healthy Team Summit. The challenge is open to anyone; contact a LEAD3R team member to join.
Pre-Summit Bonus: The Team Leader Accelerator (October 20)
The Healthy Team Summit experience begins the day before with the Team Leader Accelerator, a full-day intensive for people managers and team leads. Through hands-on workshops, expert coaching, and real-time feedback, leaders will build the confidence, tools, and muscle memory to lead high-performing teams in today’s complex world.
Optional Monday Evening Experience: Mystery Trip
For those who want to extend the learning and connection, the evening offers an unforgettable add-on: a Mystery Trip. Trusted by teams at SpaceX, Google, Red Bull, Meta, Netflix, Cisco and more, Mystery Trip specializes in surprise experiences designed to spark creativity, trust, and collaboration. Participants won’t know where they’re going or what they’ll be doing until they arrive — stepping into the unknown together levels the playing field, breaks down barriers, and fuels organic team bonding.
