Assent Recognizes Manufacturers for Leading Supply Chain Sustainability Programs

Companies honored in annual Assent Achieve Awards for improving transparency, sustainability, and ESG through meaningful impact across their supply chains

Ottawa, Ontario, Oct. 30, 2025 — Assent Inc. (Assent), the global leader in supply chain sustainability management, today announced the recipients of the 2025 Assent Achieve Awards, recognizing outstanding manufacturing companies and individuals demonstrating excellence in product compliance, ESG, and supply chain sustainability management.

Selected from more than 1,000 Assent customers globally, the 2025 recipients were recognized across five categories:

Supply Chain Sustainability Champion of the Year: Jorgen Akesson, Visual Comfort & Co.

This award recognizes leadership and dedication to sustainability within supply chain management.

• At Visual Comfort & Co., Jorgen revamped supplier monitoring and manuals to ensure suppliers understood compliance requirements, implemented new approaches to audits and supplier training, and reframed the ESG program so sustainability guides business decisions. His work is highly impactful and embedded across the organization.

Emerging Sustainability Leader: Jessica Chepp, Brunswick

This award celebrates a leader who advanced sustainability across their organization and industry over the past year.

• As a Product Compliance Expert, Jessica Chepp helped Brunswick embed best practices into complex global operations, develop divisional-level supplier governance reporting, and educate teams to build long-term regulatory awareness. She consolidated supplier records from roughly 11,000 to about 4,000, improving data quality, cutting waste, and enabling more responsible sourcing.

Supply Chain Sustainability Program of the Year: Cook Medical

This award recognizes an organization whose public advocacy and leadership actively promote sustainability in their industry.

• Cook Medical launched ESG surveys to collect supplier data and benchmark maturity and completed a Double Materiality Assessment through Assent to identify impacts and risks across its value chain. Their proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability best practices.

Momentum Award: Pure Fishing & Whelen Engineering Company

This award recognizes significant growth and accomplishments in an organization’s ESG program over the past year. Two organizations were honored:

• Pure Fishing used Assent’s platform to collect PFAS, REACH, ESG and TSCA data for over 30,000 items produced across eight countries, enabling required PFAS reporting in Canada and the U.S., and received REACH information for more than 10,000 items.
• Whelen Engineering Company expanded its program from a small initiative to managing six campaigns over two years, redesigned processes around Proposition 65, improved response times and accuracy, and leverages internal recycling of scrap plastics and metals as part of its vertically integrated operations.
