Camin Cargo Announces Strategic Alliance with Tankoil Group, Expanding Its Testing and Inspection Services Across North Africa
PASADENA, Texas, Aug. 26, 2025 — Camin Cargo Control Holdings, Inc. (“Camin Cargo”), a global provider of independent testing, inspection and certification (TIC) services to the energy industry, today announced a strategic alliance with Tankoil Group to expand coverage across Egypt, Libya, Algeria and other key North African markets.
Headquartered in Alexandria, Egypt, Tankoil Group is an independent TIC provider with ISO 17025–accredited laboratories and a growing footprint across North Africa and the Middle East. Through this alliance, Camin Cargo’s clients will gain coordinated access to petroleum, petrochemical, mineral, metals, agricultural commodities and solid fuel inspection services throughout the region.
“North Africa and the Middle East are at the heart of global energy flows, with critical links to Europe, India and the Americas,” said Fernando Assing, Camin Cargo CEO. “This alliance with Tankoil Group allows Camin Cargo to offer seamless, highly coordinated, real-time testing and inspection services in one of the most strategic regions in the world, further strengthening our global reach.”
The alliance leverages Egypt’s emergence as a regional energy hub, supported by the Suez Canal, the SUMED pipeline, LNG facilities and expanding refining and petrochemical assets. Customers will also benefit from enhanced coverage in Libya—home to Africa’s largest oil reserves—as well as Algeria’s stable and significant oil and gas export infrastructure. Camin Cargo and Tankoil Group will also coordinate testing, inspection and certification for petroleum and general cargo shipments across Tunisia, Morocco and Mauritania.
“Working with Tankoil Group strengthens Camin Cargo’s coverage across North Africa. By combining our global expertise with Tankoil’s regional knowledge and laboratory infrastructure, we are equipped to deliver seamless inspection solutions that give clients confidence, consistency and transparency across Mediterranean trade routes,” said Neil Chapman, Vice President of Global Business Development at Camin Cargo.
This alliance reflects Camin Cargo’s continued commitment to expanding its global capabilities and providing clients with unified testing, inspection and certification solutions in key trade corridors worldwide. In July, Camin Cargo announced the expansion of its load and discharge crude and petroleum inspection services in West Africa through an alliance with Stewart Inter Sea.
