Cineverse Enhances Advanced AI Film & Television Search Product cineSearch with Fabric Data’s Origin Platform
Los Angeles, California — Sept. 12, 2025
Cineverse (Nasdaq: CNVS), a next-generation entertainment studio, today announced it will integrate Fabric Data’s Origin platform into its AI-powered cinematic search engine cineSearch. The integration expands cineSearch support to international territories and content available on hundreds of additional streaming services.
By licensing Fabric’s metadata API, Cineverse will enhance the advanced AI capabilities of its discovery solution—offering highly personalized recommendations for consumers and expanded strategic intelligence for platforms and studios globally.
cineSearch debuted in 2024 with Ava, its conversational virtual advisor. cineSearch delivers context-rich recommendations across mood, theme, plot, score, micro-genre, and situational signals such as weather or location. With Fabric Data’s Origin integrated, cineSearch now gains:
- Global title availability to surface content audiences can stream
- Performance and engagement metrics to inform smarter content monetization
- Rich metadata on additional franchises, filmographies, collections, and themes
- Multimedia assets and trending insights to power discovery and retention
- Integration of titles from more than 500 streaming services across English-speaking territories (U.S., Canada, U.K., South Africa, Australia and New Zealand), increasing catalog support from the prior 63 U.S.-based services
Together, these capabilities position cineSearch as a business-intelligent discovery engine that aligns consumer satisfaction with measurable ROI for content platforms, OEMs, and studios.
“By integrating Fabric’s Origin platform, we’re giving cineSearch the ability to connect the dots between what audiences want to watch and what platforms need them to watch,” said Tony Huidor, President of Technology and Chief Product Officer for Cineverse. “This isn’t just recommendations—it’s intelligent discovery that drives engagement, revenue, and retention at scale.”
“Origin was built to power content intelligence with streaming links, performance insights, and rich media assets,” added Tom Gennari, Chief Data Officer of Fabric Data. “Together with Cineverse, we’re enabling a smarter, more actionable discovery layer that benefits both viewers and the businesses serving them.”
With this advancement, cineSearch is a dual-value platform: enhancing consumer satisfaction through personalized discovery while empowering business partners with actionable insights that translate into higher engagement, retention, and revenue growth.
