A new partnership blends American architectural vision with Italian artistry, bridging continents through design, education and collaboration.

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 25, 2025 — Fisher ARCHitecture is announcing a new strategic partnership with ICC Luxury Real Estate, an international real estate and design organization based in Italy. The collaboration expands Fisher’s global practice by pairing the Pittsburgh–based firm’s architectural approach with ICC’s platform and network of artisans, designers and educators.

For Fisher ARCHitecture this partnership is a natural extension of the firm’s bi‑continental work. For more than five summers, principals Eric Fisher and Bea Spolidoro have operated from a second office in Northern Italy, immersing themselves in European design traditions while continuing to serve American clients. Their practice is informed by historic context and contemporary design, bridging cultures to create work that is both meaningful and distinctive.

Spolidoro, an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon University, and Fisher, an Adjunct Professor at Kent State University, will present a public lecture in Pittsburgh: “Architecture, Preservation, and Building Aesthetics in Europe” on Thursday, October 9 at 6:00 PM at the Frick Pittsburgh Art Museum Auditorium. The session will explore how European design balances historic preservation with innovation and what U.S. architects can learn in response. Tickets are available online through October 8.

“It is a privilege to travel regularly to Milan and Como, which not only reconnects me to my Italian roots but also enriches our design philosophy centered on creating timeless, experiential spaces rather than chasing trends,” says Bea Spolidoro. “These visits further consolidate the strong professional partnerships we maintain across Europe.”

Expanding the scope of collaboration

Through ICC, Fisher ARCHitecture will collaborate across several practice areas to connect clients with international design and craftsmanship:

Luxury homes in Italy: For American clients looking to relocate, invest in or build second homes, Fisher will provide architectural services rooted in site‑specific innovation. ICC will connect clients with Italian artisans, materials and production expertise to ensure homes that balance tradition with contemporary design.

Coordinated artisanship: ICC’s network of craftspeople and design specialists enables Fisher projects to integrate locally sourced, expertly executed materials, ensuring authenticity and high‑quality execution.

Design education: Fisher ARCHitecture will contribute to ICC’s future design curriculum, offering online education focused on translating vision into built results. Both organizations emphasize education as an integral part of the creative process.

Signature events: Fisher will participate in ICC cultural programs, including La Dolce Vita, fostering cross‑continental dialogue and celebrating the fusion of American and Italian design sensibilities.

Marcello Prina, Managing Director of ICC Luxury Real Estate, commented that the collaboration aims to promote the excellence of Fisher ARCHitecture internationally while leveraging ICC’s local expertise in Italy—particularly in materials, procurement and refined production. Prina emphasized ICC’s broader mission to foster cooperation worldwide through education, co‑creation and shared initiatives.

A shared philosophy

Both organizations share a design ethos that architecture is most powerful when it thoughtfully fuses cultural influences. Fisher ARCHitecture is known for meticulous material selection and integrating historic context with modern form. The partnership will bring that ethos to a global audience—delivering luxury residences in Italy and curated design objects for ICC Edizioni.

A new chapter

This partnership marks an exciting chapter for Fisher ARCHitecture, reinforcing its commitment to exploration, collaboration and visionary design. By combining ICC’s international platform with Fisher’s bi‑continental practice, the firms aim to redefine cross‑cultural architecture.
