Luda Technology Group Limited (LUD.US) Forges Strategic Partnership with Top Chinese Shipbuilders To Advance Green Shipping Localization and High-End Development
HONG KONG, Sept. 9, 2025 — Luda Technology Group Limited and its subsidiaries (Luda Technology, NYSE: LUD.US) announced that its subsidiary Luda (Taian) Industrial Company Limited, Luda Taian, has signed a series of strategic cooperation agreements with leading domestic shipbuilders, including China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), Haiting (Nantong) Shipbuilding Company Limited and COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Company Limited. The agreements cover joint research and development and the manufacturing of specialty-material flanges and pipe fittings for ammonia-fueled vessels, supporting supply chain localization and high-end transformation of key components.
With new environmental regulations from the International Maritime Organization driving the shipping industry’s transition to low-carbon fuels, development of vessels powered by ammonia, hydrogen and methanol has become a priority. Luda Taian, a manufacturer certified by major international classification societies including DNV, ABS, CCS, LR and BV, will apply its expertise in special alloy materials to supply high-performance, highly reliable flange and piping connection solutions to partner shipyards.
Under the agreements, Luda Taian will act as a core supplier to the shipbuilders and deliver a full portfolio of certified products for high value-added vessel types currently under construction, such as LNG carriers, ultra-large container ships, chemical tankers and luxury cruise ships. The partners will also form joint technical R&D teams to advance new material applications, process development and digital supply chain management, helping China’s shipbuilding industry address the demands of greener and smarter shipping.
Because ammonia can be highly corrosive and can cause hydrogen embrittlement in metals, traditional carbon and stainless steels do not always meet the necessary requirements. Luda Taian has proactively invested in testing ammonia-resistant materials, including high-nickel alloys and special stainless steels, and has developed corresponding welding and heat treatment processes. The company’s physical and chemical laboratories and testing centers support comprehensive performance testing and life-cycle assessment of new material samples to ensure compliance with stringent international standards.
Sun Yanru, R&D Director of Luda Taian, said that green-powered vessels impose revolutionary requirements on critical components and emphasized the need for early planning, joint R&D with leading partners and co-definition of technical standards for next-generation products to secure competitive advantage.
Ma Biu, Chief Executive Officer of Luda Technology, said the collaboration with China’s national team and leading shipbuilding enterprises marks a key step in Luda Technology’s transformation from a component manufacturer to a technology solution provider. He added that the company will continue to increase R&D investment so that products meet the strictest international standards and, together with industry partners, help define technical standards for next-generation green vessels, elevating the position of Chinese manufacturing in high-end marine equipment.
The cooperation enhances the security and localization of China’s shipbuilding supply chain and highlights Luda Technology’s technical leadership in high-end metal products. The company plans to deepen industrial collaboration to support green shipping initiatives domestically and internationally.
