CHICAGO, Jan. 7, 2026 — Printers Row Dental Studio in Chicago’s South Loop is launching Emface, a leading-edge, noninvasive device to tone and tighten skin without pain, needles or downtime.

Emface non-invasive facial treatment

Emface is an FDA-cleared procedure often described as a “noninvasive facelift.” It combines deep muscle stimulation with heating technology to reduce fine lines, tighten and tone facial skin, and boost collagen. Unlike lasers, microdermabrasion or microneedling—which can require numbing and recovery—Emface works noninvasively and painlessly. A provider places the device’s electrodes on strategic facial points to target the muscles responsible for lifting brows, cheeks, chin and eyelids. The system also incorporates an ultrasound component called Exion that helps enhance hyaluronic acid for a more luminous complexion.

Dr. Kaori Ema, owner of Printers Row Dental Studio, added Emface to the clinic’s services because the device is recently FDA-cleared to relieve symptoms associated with TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorder, a condition that can cause muscle spasms, jaw pain and limited jaw movement.

“I see many patients with TMJ disorders who experience jaw pain or tenderness, difficulty with normal jaw function and often severe headaches,” said Dr. Ema. “TMJ can be caused by multiple factors and can be difficult to treat, so the first step is evaluation by a dentist. Emface is a gamechanger for patients with TMJ-related muscle pain because it uses gentle electrical pulses and heat to warm the jaw area and increase blood flow to relax muscle spasms.”

Each Emface treatment session lasts roughly 20 minutes. Dr. Ema recommends a series of four sessions for optimal results.

Dr. Ema is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction held by about two percent of dentists nationwide. She served as a dentist in the U.S. Air Force and completed an advanced residency program. Dr. Ema emphasizes a whole-health approach, investing in continuing education and focusing on longevity and identifying root causes of issues such as jaw alignment, airway concerns, sleep problems and acid erosion.
