Interim report January-June 2025

Truecaller, the leading global platform for verifying contacts and blocking unwanted communication, is proud to report an increase in net sales by 9% to SEK 496.4 million, with a 21% increase in constant currencies. All revenue streams grew, with ad revenues up by 11%, subscriptions by 45%, and Truecaller for Business by 53%. EBITDA excluding incentive costs increased by 20%, with an EBITDA margin of 42.6%. Including incentive costs, EBITDA rose by 5%, with a margin of 34.8%. The average number of monthly active users grew by 15 million during the quarter.

“I’m happy to report strong organic growth as this is the fourth consecutive quarter of revenue and user growth. We added 15 million users this quarter, reaching a total of 55 million compared to Q2 2024, highlighting our relevance globally. We now have over 3 million paying subscribers, over 1 million on iOS, with a 28% increase in average subscribers year-over-year. Despite the Swedish Krona’s strength affecting revenue and profit this quarter, our net sales grew 21% in constant currencies. Advertising revenue grew 11% in constant currencies, while premium revenues increased 48%. Truecaller for Business saw a 53% growth in constant currencies.

While geopolitical uncertainties affected ads demand, we saw price stabilization for our inventory. We strengthened our direct sales capabilities and added eight global demand partners. Truecaller Masthead and Truecaller Play were launched, along with an in-house AI recommendations suite, showing promising results. MEA and India regions showed strong growth. Subscription revenue continued solid growth, with iOS seeing a 25% increase this quarter. We are optimistic about our growth journey with positive trends in user growth and ads capabilities,” said Rishit Jhunjhunwala, CEO of Truecaller.

April-June 2025 (Q2)

  • Net sales increased by 9% to SEK 496.4m. In constant currencies, net sales increased by 21%.
  • EBITDA excluding incentive costs increased by 20% to SEK 211.6m, with a margin of 42.6%. In constant currencies, EBITDA increased by 38%.
  • EBITDA including incentive costs increased by 5% to SEK 172.8m, with a margin of 34.8%. In constant currencies, EBITDA increased by 24%.
  • Profit after tax was SEK 118.0m.
  • Basic earnings per share were SEK 0.34 and diluted earnings per share were SEK 0.34.
  • Active non-iOS users increased by 55.3 million to approximately 426.6 million.
  • Net sales increased by 5% in India, 23% in MEA, and 18% in the rest of the world.

January-June 2025

  • Net sales increased by 12% to SEK 993.3m. In constant currencies, net sales increased by 20%.
  • EBITDA excluding incentive costs increased by 21% to SEK 410.2m, with a margin of 41.3%. In constant currencies, EBITDA increased by 32%.
  • EBITDA including incentive costs increased by 2% to SEK 321.8m, with a margin of 32.4%. In constant currencies, EBITDA increased by 13%.
  • Profit after tax was SEK 219.7m.
  • Basic earnings per share were SEK 0.54 and diluted earnings per share were SEK 0.64.
  • Net sales increased by 9% in India, 25% in MEA, and 18% in the rest of the world.
